Best Time to Visit Char Dham

The ideal time to visit Char Dham Yatra is May to October. Because the temples open for only six months from Akshaya Tritiya in May to the Bhai Dooj after Diwali, hence you should plan your Char Dham Yatra from May to October. The reason behind closure of Char Dham temples for six months is the extreme cold climate of Uttarakhand in winters. All the Char Dham temples get covered with snow in the months of December and January.
